Heritage Lites Youth Leadership Program

A partnership program of the Rogersville Heritage Association and the Hawkins County – Rogersville Chamber of Commerce.

The Heritage Lites Leadership Program is a service organization for high school students that strive to build character and leadership qualities in young people by emphasizing volunteer service, integrity, and pride of accomplishment. The intent of the program is to build leaders of the future. Criteria for membership include but are not limited to; community service and involvement, satisfactory grade-point-average, leadership experience, and family membership with the Rogersville Heritage Association and/or the Rogersville Hawkins County Chamber of commerce. Service Projects include volunteer assistance for a number of Heritage Association and Chamber of Commerce programs, including Heritage Days, The Christmas Tour of Homes, and the East Tennessee Young bluegrass Musicians Contest, Cherokee Lake Clean-up, Trunk or Treat, assisting with Christmas decorations downtown, and a number of other projects selected by individual members. Leadership programs include team building activities, diversity training, etiquette classes, and sessions on local history, government and community affairs.
