Rogersville is a small town with a great deal of history. One of Tennessee’s oldest towns, Rogersville was settled in the early 1780’s and has played host to a number of important historic events and Americans.
Rogersville served as a way station along a major stagecoach route leading to Kentucky and the Cumberland settlements; a major printing center for Tennessee’s early newspapers; a center of education and commerce, and more!

The Rogersville Heritage Association is dedicated to the preservation and restoration of historic buildings and historic areas in Rogersville, to the ongoing heritage education of Rogersville’s citizens, and to the improvement of the economic structure of Rogersville through cooperative efforts with the City of Rogersville and the Rogersville-Hawkins County Chamber of Commerce.
